Youth Services: A child’s view of homelessness
In addressing the needs of the family, youth (in particular) are often traumatized and are at greater risk for developmental issues, trouble at school, and coping skills. Many of these youth have faced neglectful and abusive situations themselves in the midst of unstable circumstances in their family. It is imperative that we have the adequate resources and programs to meet the needs of youth in order to end the cycle of homelessness and the trauma that accompanies it.
Vincent Village works closely with other Fort Wayne area shelters including Interfaith Hospitality, Transitions, Charis House and Genesis Outreach who refer clients for continued services in the Vincent Village Phase II Program
